SPARKS 1984! - REVISITING THE HORROR KNOWN AS "PULLING RABBITS OUT OF A HAT" - SHEER HORROR

Sparks on Atlantic? Who would have thunk it? 1984's follow-up to Sparks In Outer Space didn't exactly set the world on fire, in fact it went bounce, thud. It's a strange album in the sense that it didn't chart at all in US but the title track got heavy airplay on KROQ and "With All My Might" did great as a single. There are some great tunes on this album even though a lot of Sparks fans hate this album....The Horror!!

Who don't love Sparks? I suppose the folks who don't know who Sparks are might not love Sparks, but that's only because of plum ignorance. But REST EASY, reader - we're here to set you straight by reviewing ALL the Sparks records - and not just by one, but TWO (and maybe occasionally MORE!)

Sparks - Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat, review by tarkus1980

While wasn't my ideal kind of music, it nonetheless exuded competence and class, and I feel like I could play good chunks of that album in the presence of others without feeling sheepish. This album, alas, retains almost none of the good from In Outer Space and magnifies much of the bad (potential or realized) from that album, and the result is a disaster.

THE HORROR!!
