DEAN JONES INHERITS A COLORADO SKI LODGE IN DISNEY'S "SNOWBALL EXPRESS" - 1972 COMEDY

A slightly obscure early 70's Disney comedy, the always reliable Dean Jones inherits a ski lodge and up and quits his job to rush his family off to Colorado. Of course, once they get there it turns out the lodge isn't exactly a gift horse. Enjoyable family fare with that classic early 70's vibe, you can read some real reviews below, using Pinewoods Rating System, Snowball Express has adequate charm at Two & 3/4 Pinewoods.....The Horror!!

Laura's Miscellaneous Musings

When I was growing up my grandfather regularly took me, along with my brother and cousin, to Disney's live-action films. Some of the films we saw in the early '70s were reissues of older '60s movies like MIRACLE OF THE WHITE STALLIONS (1963); we also saw first-run films such as THE COMPUTER WORE TENNIS SHOES (1969), THE MILLION DOLLAR DUCK (1971), THE BAREFOOT EXECUTIVE (1971), NAPOLEON AND SAMANTHA (1972), and THE WORLD'S GREATEST ATHLETE (1973).

Snowball Express ( 1972 )

Johnny Baxter ( Dean Jones ) is your average hard-working American family man, stuck in an accounting job he doesn't like but staying on because he has a wife and two children to support. "In the five years I've been there I moved from accounts receivable to accounts payable", he explains to his wife.
