PICK YOUR POISON
Grant it, the compilation albums in the Boingo canon are a sorted lot at best and not one of the crowning areas of achievement for the band. However, most of the fault for that comes from the many record label changes the band made. Below I rate them and below that is a brand new house mix for this year - Boingo-Tober 5 2016 Halloween Mix - enjoy,,,,,THE HORROR!!
"SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET" - Easily the best of the lot with a simple "best of"song selection from the first 3 albums. 7/10
"BEST-O-BOINGO" - Horrific indeed, words cannot describe the hate I have for this album. Well it's not that bad. The thing that ruins this album for me is the inclusion of the tracks from Boingo Alive to cover older tunes they couldn't get licensed. 3/10
"ANTHOLOGY" - Just so-so. Song selection is not very imaginative, it tries to come from the standpoint of "best of the best" but doesn't really succeed. 6/10
