Greetings one and all - Wishing you a horrific holiday weekend. The idea of 10 of cinema's baddest bad boys for a tribute is one I've been wanting to do for a long time. So having said that, here's a couple of basic points before we get started- 1- Since this is a blog about strange and peculiar entertainment, do not expect to see any epic or obvious choices. Do expect a list of very different movie villains. As usual with anything around here, it's not meant to be the one thing or end all to be all whatever..The Horror!! Drum roll please......
# 10 - JAMES BROLIN AS JEROME WEBER
THE HIJACKER SKYJACKER
James Brolin goes way way wayyyyy over the top in his performance of this obviously disturbed character. I've heard of method acting before but this guy is seriously on speed. A performance that has CAMP written all over it and thank god for that because without it the film would be a total bomb. Couldn't find a scene specific to him on You Tube but the trailer and official full movie for free is below-
#9 - DAVID WARNER AS JACK THE RIPPER
'TIME AFTER TIME' (1979)
While rarely disappointing, David Warner fit hand-in-glove into his excellent performance as Jack The Ripper and H.G. Wells nemesis. Somehow the role just brought out every maniacal nuance in Warner. While it wouldn't have been my #1 choice, the scene below is a good one and the only one on You Tube besides trailer.
