This is one of those albums that easily slips under the radar and an overlooked gem in the JJ catalog. Joe plays NYC with a tight little 3-piece- him, Graham Maby and drummer Gary Burke. Recorded over a 3-night stand at Joe's Pub with Jackson supervising the selection process, this is Joe at his finest. Which is most the time....The Horror!!

God, I love this man's music. After over a decade of varying success in the pop world, Joe Jackson found himself tired of throwing himself against the wall to see if he would stick. He decided to retire Joe Jackson the pop star and return to Joe Jackson the composer, and his recent albums come from a more mature, creatively ambitious place within him.
